Our refurbished gaming PCs are an excellent choice for anyone looking to step into PC gaming without spending a fortune on the latest high-end components. Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be a challenging year for the wider PC hardware market. The rapid expansion of AI data centres has significantly increased global demand for DRAM (used in system memory) and NAND flash (used in SSD storage). By the end of 2025, SSD prices had already doubled, and some DDR5 variants had risen by more than 600%. Further increases are expected through Q1 to Q3 of 2026, with no clear signs of stabilisation before late 2027. As component prices rise, this will inevitably begin to affect the refurbished market as well, leading to upward pressure on pricing across the sector. For now, we are in a strong position. We hold a substantial stock of refurbished components and will continue building systems at sensible, fair prices. As a not-for-profit organisation, our focus is accessibility and community benefit. We have no incentive to artificially inflate prices.
