This Lenovo ThinkPad is a 14-inch refurbished laptop with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. That is a well-balanced set of core components for someone who wants room for everyday files alongside memory for keeping several tasks open at once. Windows 11 Pro has been installed, so it is prepared with a current Windows environment for its next owner.

The 1920 x 1080 display gives a Full HD working area on the 14-inch screen, while Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics handle the display without a separate dedicated graphics card. The 512GB SSD is particularly useful for keeping the system responsive when opening saved work and for storing documents, photos and applications. Please note one important functional point: the built-in audio volume is low. Audio works normally through Bluetooth or wired headphones.

Detailed Description

The Intel Core i7 8th Generation processor provides the central processing power for day-to-day Windows work. Combined with 16GB of RAM, it gives the system useful headroom when moving between a web browser, email, documents and other open applications. The extra memory is especially welcome for users who prefer not to close everything down whenever they change task.

A 512GB SSD provides substantial space for personal files and installed software compared with smaller-capacity configurations. SSD storage has no moving parts, making it well suited to a portable computer, and it supports quick access to saved documents and applications. The capacity gives practical room for work folders, study materials, photographs and everyday downloads, though the amount of free space available will vary after Windows and software are installed.

The 14-inch Full HD display has a 1920 x 1080 resolution, offering a clear workspace for writing, browsing and viewing content. Intel UHD 620 graphics are integrated graphics, meaning they share system resources rather than using a dedicated graphics card. They are suited to normal desktop use and lighter visual tasks, but this laptop should be chosen with its integrated graphics in mind rather than for graphics-intensive workloads.

Windows 11 Pro is installed on this machine. This gives the next owner a ready-to-use Windows operating system rather than leaving operating-system installation as a separate job. The confirmed audio limitation is worth considering before purchase: the internal speaker volume is low, so Bluetooth or wired headphones are the better option where audio matters.

What It Is Good For

The confirmed processor, 16GB memory, SSD storage and Full HD screen make this a sensible choice for everyday computer use where a compact 14-inch laptop and generous storage are useful.

Writing documents, spreadsheets and presentations
Web browsing, email and online research
Keeping multiple everyday applications and browser tabs open
Home administration, forms and digital records
Study work and organising course materials
Storing documents, photos and software on the 512GB SSD
Using Bluetooth or wired headphones for audio

Suitable Games:

This laptop uses Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics rather than a dedicated graphics card. It can be considered for lighter or older games at sensible settings, rather than demanding graphics-heavy titles. Performance varies by game, settings and resolution.

Lighter games at sensible settings
Older games that do not require dedicated graphics
Indie games with modest graphics requirements

Condition & Refurbishment

This is a refurbished laptop, carefully prepared for its next owner. Windows 11 Pro has been installed. It was cleaned, tested and prepared by The Nerd Herd.

There are gentle signs of previous use, including light scratches and scuffs, wear to the keys and trackpad, and marks on the screen. These cosmetic marks do not impede normal use. Please note: the built-in speaker volume is low; audio works through Bluetooth or wired headphones.

Every device includes a 90-day warranty. Register your device after setup to extend your warranty to one year.

The Nerd Herd Take

This is a strong everyday configuration on the facts that matter: an 8th Generation Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. It is particularly appealing for a buyer who values plenty of working memory and storage in a 14-inch Windows laptop.

The low internal speaker volume is clearly disclosed and should be factored into your choice. If you already use Bluetooth or wired headphones, the confirmed audio output through those options provides a practical alternative.

The Nerd Herd is a not-for-profit organisation. Every purchase helps support our reuse, repair and STEM education work.
